Sebastian Reyna

Sebastian Reyna, age 93, passed away on Friday, December 10, 2010. He was born January 20, 1917 in Pratt Kansas to the late Donaciano and Guadalupe Reyna. Following his mother’s death, he moved with his father to Torreon, Mexico, where he spent his formative years, until he came back to the United States to work for the railroad. He married Elizabeth “Betty” Deoring, and together raised a beautiful family. Sebastian retired from Columbus and Southern Electric AEP, where to this day, he is remembered and talked about. That’s how it was with Sebastian; a unique man who once you met, you never forgot! His infectious laugh and ability to draw people in to every situation made him fun to be around. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, 4 brothers: Pedro “Joe”, Edward, Frank, Laddie and 2 sisters: Teresa and Florence. He was a handyman, problem solver, provider and most importantly, “Dad”, to Frank (Shirley) Reyna, Don (Jeri) Reyna, Teresa (Elliott) McCoy, Florence (Ray) Dyer, Becky Waugh, Christina (Gary) Carter and Sebastian, Jr. (Sharon) Reyna; “Papa Reyna” to 18 special grandchildren, Frank Reyna Jr., Troy Reyna, Beth (Shad) Williams, Tereza Allmon, Brian (Tonya) McCoy, Ty (Melanie) McCoy, Matt (Laurie) McCoy, Aaron McCoy, Mark (Noelle) McCoy, Amanda (Taylor) Freeman, Christina Grundy, Arthur (Molly) Murphy III, Michael Waugh, Todd (Adrienne) Carter, Mikey Smiley, Kylie (Mike) Salvador, Dustin (Jennifer) Reyna, Cody Reyna and 22 great-grandchildren with 2 more on the way. Family will receive friends 1-5 Sunday, December 12 and 10:30-11:30 Monday, December 13, at Schoedinger Grove City Chapel, 3920 Broadway, Grove City, OH 43123 where services will be held at 11:30 Monday; Pastor Eugene Speich, officiating; Interment Concord Cemetery.
