

Sharon (Broomhall) Clay, age 74, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, November 24, 2021. Born December 28, 1946 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Francis and Pauline Broomhall. Proud graduate of West High School. Class of 1964. Graduated from The Ohio State University, School of Nursing in 1968. Held positions in nursing from 1968 until her retirement from the Columbus City Schools as a school nurse in 2013. Survived by her husband of 53 years, Lawrence Clay; sons Chris, Creig (Kate), Corey; sisters Denise Davis- Henry, Kim (Jim) Cordetti; sister in law Sharon Ann Clay; nieces Olivia Henry and Leigh Cordetti; nephew Tony Cordetti; Cherished grandchildren include Emily Collins, Tyler, Carson, Delaney, Ava and Alex Clay. She loved being with her family, especially on Christmas Eve, gardening and her church, Scioto Ridge United Methodist. Special friends include Steve and Jan Stone, Pat Stewart, Susan Barker and all of her card club friends. She was blessed by God in many ways, but was especially thankful for the time to say goodbye. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Westside Free Store, 61 South Powell Ave Columbus, Ohio 43204. Family will receive friends from 4:00-7:00pm on Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST, 1740 Zollinger Road, Columbus, Ohio 43221. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, December 2, 2021 at Scioto Ridge United Methodist Church, 4343 Dublin Road, Hilliard, Ohio 43026.
