Sharon Hope Fellows

Sharon Hope (Place) Fellows, age 77 of Gahanna, passed into the loving arms of Jesus on Wednesday July 14, 2011 at Mt Carmel East Hospital, within an hour of her Aunt Millie’s passing. She now celebrates her homecoming with all of those who have preceded her in death, her beloved sons Shaun and Mark Fellows, mother Mattie (Campbell) Haycook and stepfather Neal P. Haycook, father Harry V. Place and grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She leaves behind those who mourn her loss, husband of 59 years John R. “Jack” Fellows, their daughter, Laura (Nic)Alexander, grandchildren: Chad Alexander, Jeremy (Becky) Alexander, Emily (Richard) Sommers and Elizabeth Alexander; brother Stan Campbell Place. Sharon was born January 2, 1934 in Lima, Ohio. At the age of 6 she moved to Columbus. She worked for many years at Madison’s on Eastland Mall and was the former owner of Laura Alexander Designer Fashions. She was a beautiful person, both on the inside and out, who devoted her entire life to caring for others and never did anything for herself. She was recently diagnosed with cancer. Our lives will never be the same without her and she will be greatly missed every day. Thank you to all our wonderful friends who faithfully called and prayed for her. The family will receive friends 4-7pm Tuesday at the Schoedinger Northeast Chapel 1051 East Johnstown Road (at Beecher Road) Gahanna, where the Funeral Service will be held at 1:30PM Wednesday July 20, 2011. Pastor Kai Nilsen, officiating. Interment in Mifflin Township Cemetery.
