

Shirley Ann Becht, 83, of Columbus, passed away on January 27, 2017. She was born on August 18, 1933 in Memphis, TN to Ralph and Ann (Kehoe) Lannert. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Becht. Shirley's southern charm could be seen in many facets of her life; she never was without her makeup, she never met a stranger, and could talk to anyone. As a breast cancer survivor, she loved to walk in the Susan G. Komen Race for a Cure. She was also active in the TWIG group supporting Children's Hospital, the Old Orchard Garden Club, the Reynoldsburg Seniors, senior groups at St. Pius X Catholic Church and longtime volunteer at the Mount Carmel East Hospital. Shirley will be deeply missed by her daughters Diane (Bill) Williams and Cindi Phillips; grandchildren Faith (Andrew) Ebersole, Dan Williams, and Kristine, Stephanie, Samuel, Jessica, Kelly Rose and Brittany Phillips; and her twin sister Dolores Quigley. Family will receive friends from 4-7pm on Thursday, February 2, 2017 at the SCHOEDINGER EAST CHAPEL, 5360 East Livingston Avenue. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10am Friday, February 3, 2017 at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 1051 South Waggoner Road, with Monsignor David Funk officiating.
