

Shirley Anne (Schwind) Kaiser, one of God’s earthly angels, was called home Tuesday, July 24, 2012 surrounded by the loving embace of her children. Born February 16, 1932, she died following a short illness at age 80. Retired from the Ohio State University after 26 years, she worked as the supervisor of the Payroll Department and Tax Department. She was a graduate of West High School, Class of ’50. She and her friends played basketball for Hoge Memorial Church and maintained friendships with a Euchre Club for over 50 years. Preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Jesse T. Kaiser; her parents, Margaret and Reuben Schwind; brothers, Walter, Robert, William and Albert Schwind, John Bradbury and sisters, Evelyn Eberhard, Margaret McKean and sister-in-law, Madeline Iona Marshall. She will be lovingly and sadly missed by her children, Kathleen (Terry) Gasaway, David J. (Laura) Kaiser, and Lori (Jeffrie) Leibovitz of Indiana; grandchildren, David A. Kaiser, Nicole Kaiser, Jesse R. (Lindsay) Kaiser, Matthew (Janelle) Gasaway, Teresa Gasaway, Adam and Jack Leibovitz of Indiana; her four great-grandchildren, Isabelle and Olivia Kaiser-Piazza, Dylan and Audrey Gasaway. She is also survived by her brother, James (Angie) Bradbury of Florida, sister-in-law, Judith (Gene) Lawrence; her nieces, Tammy Kaiser, Teresa (Brandon) Caldwell and family, Nikki (John) Cross and family, Phyllis Grashel and family. A special thanks to the excellent nurses at Dublin Methodist Hospital, 3rd Floor, Ohio Health HomeCare Hospice, Dr. Purugganan for his support and guidance and Pastor Jean for her spiritual care. Lastly, a very special thank you to Esther Holman, HomeCare Specialist, for her excellent care, humor, devotion and love for our mother. You hold a special place in our heart always. Services will by held 10:00 AM, Saturday, July 28, 2012 at Schoedinger Hilltop Chapel, 3030 West Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio where family and friends will be received from 6-8 PM Friday and an hour prior to the service on Saturday. Reverend Andrew Hoover will be officiating. Interment services at Wesley Chapel Cemetery, 3275 Dublin Road, Hilliard, Ohio.
