Stephen Scott Gerker

Stephen S. Gerker, born August 1, 1978, died suddenly on Thursday December 3, 2009 in Bowling Green, OH. His family is grateful that he is now at peace. He is preceded in death by grandfathers Joseph Lalonde and Urban Gerker. Survived by his mother Jackie Gerker of Worthington, OH, father and stepmother Jerry (Cathy) Gerker of Blacklick, OH, sister Christine (Will) Lennon and nieces Kate, Maya and Alyssa of Cary, NC, brother Matt (Heather) Gerker and niece Madelyn of Covington, KY. Also survived by grandmothers Tood Lalonde of Defiance, OH and Clara Gerker of Ottoville, OH and many loving aunts, uncles and cousins. Stephen was very caring and kind hearted. He dedicated nine years of his life to helping the handicapped in a group home setting. Stephen liked his job and was very proud of his work. He will be greatly missed by everyone including the people he served. Family will receive friends Monday from 6-8 PM at SCHOEDINGER NORTH CHAPEL, 5554 Karl Rd. where a Funeral Mass will be Tuesday, December 8, 2009 at 12 PM with burial to follow in Resurrection Cemetery.
