

Steve J. Edwards, age 66, passed away on Thursday, March 26, 2020 at the James Cancer Hospital with his children by his side. Steve was a 1972 graduate of Grove City High School. After High School he attended THE Ohio State University and graduated in 1979 with his law degree. He is preceded in death by his parents; Edward "Lum" and Paula (Shoaf) Edwards, uncles; Ronald Shoaf, and Garland Edwards. Steve is survived by his children; Tina (Jeff) Oelschlager, Tiffany (Bart) Marshall, Lucas Scott Edwards, Ethan Paul Edwards, grandchildren; Ava, Jacob, Aubrey, Miriam, Hannah, Jenna, McKenna, Emma, aunts; Beth Shoaf, Doris "Jeannie" Edwards, nephew; Taylor D. Smith, and many cousins, former wife and friend Traci Edwards, lifelong friends, Joe Marshall, Richie Smith, Robin Smith, Deborah Camp, parents-in-law; Wayne and Judy Drum, and many other friends. He practiced Law in Grove City for over 30 years and became a Lawyer to help people. He changed the ground water law at the Supreme Court level. He was an avid outdoorsman, loved to run, was an OSU basketball and football fan, and loved to take his children with him to the games, a Cleveland Browns fan, He ran across the United States while at OSU. He loved the National Park System and was part of the group that brought back the gray wolf to Yellowstone National Park. Steve had an excellent sense of humor and enjoyed the Three Stooges. The thing that meant the most to him was his family. He was a coach for St. Cecelia School where he coached his sons in baseball and basketball and after coaching the boys, he just loved to watch them play. He liked to take his grandchildren to Dave and Busters and just spend time with them. A memorial service will be held after the coronavirus restrictions have lifted.
