May 12, 1955 – October 6, 2025
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Steven “Steve” Joseph Rossin, who left us peacefully in his sleep on the morning of October 6, 2025. Born in Detroit, Michigan on May 12, 1955, Steve lived a life defined by love, laughter, and boundless generosity. Steve was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Alan and Joan Rossin; his cherished in-laws, Kenith and Carol Bowsher; and his brother, Eric Rossin. He is survived by the love of his life, his wife Pam Rossin, with whom he shared nearly 49 wonderful years of marriage. Together they built a life rooted in devotion, joy, and family. He will be forever missed by his children, Jarred (Crystal) Rossin and Melissa (Aaron) Struewing, and his treasured grandchildren: Tristan, Eliott, Paul, and Sophia—each of whom brought him immeasurable pride and happiness. He also leaves behind his loving siblings, Carol (Wally) Rodriguez, Mark (Diane) Rossin, and Neil Rossin, along with countless nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who were lucky enough to know him. Steve had the rare gift of making every person feel like a friend. His spirit was welcoming, his laugh unforgettable, and his heart open to all. He found joy in the simple things—sitting fireside with Pam, diving into a new project, and spending time with the family he adored. Whether you knew him for a moment or a lifetime, you likely experienced his kindness, his wit, and his unwavering willingness to lend a hand—always without hesitation. His absence leaves a hole that cannot be filled, but his legacy lives on in the lives he touched and the love he gave so freely. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Steve’s life on Friday, October 10th at Advantage Funeral & Cremation by Schoedinger Hilltop, 3030 West Broad St., Columbus, OH 43204. Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, with a service to follow at 3:00 PM. A family gathering will be held afterward at The Ohio State University Golf Club, 3605 Tremont Rd., Columbus, OH 43204.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Steve’s memory to the American Cancer Society—honoring his generous spirit by giving back, just as he always did.
