Sybil Rex Addison

“To know her, is to love her” Sybil, (age 80) died February 26, 2013. She was the daughter of Robert McCune and Peg (Williard) Rex. Sybil was a lifelong resident of Bexley graduating from Bexley High School in 1950. She graduated from Connecticut College in 1954. Sybil was a member of St. Alban’s Episcopal Church, Twig #2 and Pleasure Guild of Children’s Hospital, and the Junior League. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Colborn M. Addison. Sybil is survived by her children Douglas W. (Debbie) Addison, Daryl (Bill) Payne, Brooke Addison and Kate Addison; grandchildren Ann Payne; Jack, Ben, Jane and Sam Addison; brother Robert (Anne) Rex; and her second family Lilly Rex, Wood Struthers, Ann Coburn and Rob Struthers. A memorial service will be held at 11:00am, Saturday March 2, 2013 at St. Alban’s Episcopal Church, 333 South Drexel Ave., Bexley, OH 43209 with The Rev. Susan Marie Smith and The Rev. Ann Coburn officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that contributions be made in Sybil’s memory to St. Alban’s Episcopal Church, Alzheimer’s Assn. of Central Ohio, 1379 Dublin Rd., Columbus, OH 43215, or Green Lawn Cemetery, 1000 Greenlawn Ave., Columbus, OH 43223.
