Sylvia Ruth Cook, age 89, went to be with the Lord on November 28, 2012. She was born September 4, 1923 in Webbville, Kentucky to the late James & Susannah (Ward) Kitchen. Longtime member of Brice United Methodist Church and woman’s group; Order of the Eastern Star. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by husband, Kenneth E. Cook; son, Kenneth Gary Cook; great-granddaughter, Madeline Cook. Sylvia is survived by her daughter, Linda S. Carroll; grandchildren, David Carroll, Susannah Carroll, K. Scott Cook, Nathaniel Cook, and Matthew Cook; many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Visitation will be held 5:30-8 PM Friday, November 30, 2012 at the SCHOEDINGER EAST CHAPEL 5360 E. Livingston Ave. Funeral service will be 10:30 AM Saturday at the Brice United Methodist Church Chapel, 3160 Brice Rd., Brice, OH 43109; Pastor David Wells officiating. Interment Glen Rest Memorial Estate. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or American Cancer Society.
