

A funeral service, to celebrate the life of Tawinzda “Wendy Davis” Danquah, 31 of Newark, will be held on Saturday, November 5, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, 383 Washington Street, Newark, with Rev. Dr. Charles W. Noble, Sr. officiating.
Wendy was born in Orlando, Florida to Melvin Corbett and the late Linda Davis. She passed away at the OSU Medical Center in Columbus on October 31, 2011.
Wendy was passionate and loved being a hairdresser. She was a member of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church. She enjoyed dancing and she always brought a smile to anyone she came into contact with. She knew no strangers and loved everyone she met. Most important in her life was spending time with her three children and family.
In additional to her father, survivors include her three children, Mykel Dabo, Shanti Davis and Kamar Davis; step-mother, Donna Corbett; sisters, Trina Baker and Quen Corbett; best friend, India Myers; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.
In addition to her mother, she is preceded in death by one brother, Tabu Davis.
Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Wendy to her children. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
Friends may call at the Criss-Schoedinger Funeral Home, 179 Granville Street, Newark on Friday from 4:00-7:00 PM.
