

Thelma I. “Jean” Grant, 90, of Circleville, passed away Friday, July 12, 2013 at Pickaway Manor. She was born August 28, 1922 in Circleville, the daughter of the late Roy and Hazel (Kochensparger) Justice. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, James H. Grant and second husband, Harold Evans; sister, Retha Hoalcraft; and brothers, Rudolph, Lionel, Marvin, Elliott and Richard Justice.
Jean was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and enjoyed reading and working jigsaw puzzles. She was retired from Circleville City Schools where she had worked as a secretary at the junior high school. She was kind, patient and easy-going and loved being with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Jean is survived by her daughters, Pam (Roger) Wolfe and Nancy (Gary) McCain; grandchildren, Marcy (John Buch) Hill, Michele (John) Brewer, Melinda (Brian) Thatcher, Amy (Rob) McNeal and Jill (Larry) Stout; great-grandchildren, Darbi and Greg Brewer, Ellie and Grant Hill, Abby, Wyatt and Leah Thatcher, Zackary (Kaley) Callihan, Sarah Callihan, Steven, William, Brenna, Logan and Luke Stout; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at Defenbaugh-Wise-Schoedinger Funeral Home with Pastor Karen Martin Kepner officiating. Burial will be in Hitler-Ludwig Cemetery.
