Theresa Hogan

Theresa B. Hogan, age 90, of Columbus and formerly a longtime resident of Upper Arlington, passed away Monday, May 9, 2011 at Westminster-Thurber Community. Theresa was born June 27, 1920 in Battle Creek, MI to the late Joseph F. and Helen Marie Bauman. Her husband Joseph M. Hogan, Sr. preceded her in death in 2002 after 57 years of marriage. Theresa was formerly a member of St. Agatha parish and currently of St. Francis of Assisi parish. She was a past president of Norwester Women's Club, an avid bridge player, and frequent volunteer quietly aiding those in need. Theresa was preceded in death by four brothers: Joseph, Justin, Vincent and Paul; and three sisters: Mary Agnes, Margaret, and Josephine. She is survived by her sister Helen Schoder of Battle Creek; sisters-in-law Joan Bauman of Battle Creek, and Barbara Bauman of Kalamazoo, MI; children Joseph Michael Hogan, Jr. of Auburn, AL and Thomas J. (Katherine) Hogan of Loveland, OH; grandchildren Gregory M. (Tasha) Hogan and Jennifer L. Hogan; great grandchild Eliana Hogan; and numerous nieces, nephews and many friends. A Memorial Mass will be held at the Westminster-Thurber Community chapel, 645 Neil Avenue, Columbus at 10:00 a.m. Monday, May 23. Rev. Ron Atwood will officiate. Interment at St. Joseph Cemetery, Columbus, at a later date.
