Thomas Markworth

Thomas Markworth, age 73, passed away February 27, 2016. Born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, Tom was the son of the late Carl and Irene Markworth. After graduating from Fairview High School in 1960, Tom went on to earn a BS in Management Science in 1964 from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, a JD in 1967 from the Moritz College of Law at Ohio State, and an MBA in 1970 from the Fisher College of Business at Ohio State. Tom worked throughout his career in Columbus as a real estate attorney. He was active in many professional organizations. For more than 30 years, Tom was fortunate to work with a small group of loyal clients, including the Edwards Companies. He enjoyed antiquing, attending auctions and flea markets, motorcycling, collecting Abraham Lincoln memorabilia, vacationing in Hilton Head, SC, attending Ohio State and high school sporting events, and working on his little farm. He will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 33 years, Renee Markworth; sons, Thomas (Kristin) and Brian (Adrienne) Markworth; grandchildren, Leah, Alexander, Evan, Benjamin, and Elise; brothers, Kirk (Sharon) and Larry (Phyllis) Markworth; and many other extended family members and dear friends. A memorial service will be held at 6 P.M. Thursday, March 31, 2016 at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 1740 Zollinger Rd., where family will receive friends from 4 P.M. until time of service.
