Thomas Massar

Thomas John "GP" Massar Jr. beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed away at The Kobacker House Hospice on January 2, 2017 at the age of 88. Born April 27, 1928 in Tresckow, PA to the late Thomas and Anna Massar. Earning a degree from Manhattan College in electrical engineering, Tom was the first family member to receive a college degree. Tom was also a proud American Military Veteran who served in the Air Force. Tom is predeceased by the love of his life Mary Ellen Massar. Tom is survived by his greatest son, Thomas (Valerie) Massar III; grandchildren, Emily and Hannah Massar; brother, Cyril Massar, Mountainside New Jersey. Tom's grandchildren enjoyed their daily phone calls always knowing there would be a joke or quote or helpful homework advice. There will be no calling hours. Funeral arrangements will be made by Schoedinger Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday January 5, 2017 at 10:00, St. Michael Catholic Church, 5750 N High St. Worthington Ohio 43085. Interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
