Tom D. Swisher, age 80, of Columbus, Ohio passed away on May 2, 2025. He was born on Aug. 3, 1944 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Tom W. and Florence Swisher. He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years Mary Ann (Passero) Swisher; children Lori Gaver, David (Holly) Swisher, Scot (Brandy) Swisher and Lisa (Rick) Hardin; grandchildren Emma, Isabella, Paige, Taylor, Lilly, Tim, Matt and Brock. Tom was a proud member of the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in German Village. He was also a longtime member of the Buckeye Tailgaters band that played at many of the Buckeyes home games. Tom loved playing the drums and he was inducted into the Senior Musicians Hall of Fame in June 2004. He played the drums every weekend at Schmidt’s Sausage Haus for over 53 years where he made many lifelong friends. He had a deep love for THE Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cleveland Browns. Visitation will be held on Wednesday May 7, 2025 from 2PM to 4PM at the Advantage by Schoedinger – Hilltop Chapel, 3030 W Broad St., Columbus, Ohio 43204. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Ohio Hospice, 2269 Cherry Valley Road, Newark, Ohio 43055.
