Tommy Paul Piolata

Tommy P. Piolata, age 69, passed over into eternal life on Wednesday, May 19, 2021. Tommy was born on June 21, 1951 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Thomas and Lena (Cechetti) Piolata. Also preceded in death by his father-in-law Domenico Ciotola. Tommy was a graduate of Watterson High School class of 1969 and Ohio University. Author (Five Frogs on Biscuit Bay), inventor, painter, Realtor, Knight of Columbus (4th degree), pro-life advocate, active parishoner of St. Andrew Catholic Church, rock n'roll drummer, black-belt, golf master (3 holes in one), founding member of SIF golf league, spreader of laughter and giver of joy: TP lived abundantly. He loved enjoying life with his children and grandchildren, and cherished his beloved wife. Tommy will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 46 years, Carla (Ciotola) Piolata; daughters Marisa (Ryan) Webb, Maria (Drew) Milligan, Andria (Adam) Bennett; son Thomas A. Piolata OFM Cap.; and his treasured grandchildren: Lia, Mira, and Luna Milligan; Dominic, Vincent, and Daniela Bennett. TP is also survived by his sister, Michele (Piolata) and Tom Gill, mother-in-law Italia Ciotola, sister and brother-in-laws Kim and Tina Elsea and Frank and Carrie Ciotola, and nieces and nephews Phillip Gill, Andrew Gill, Jennifer (Bobby) Miller, Lora (Tom) Goetz, Alisa Ciotola, and Giuliana Ciotola. Family will receive friends from 4:00-7:00pm on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST, 1740 Zollinger Road. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, May 27, 2021 at St. Andrew Catholic Church, 1899 McCoy Road.
