

Urlin G. Harris Jr.; 80 of Delaware died Thursday December 8, 2016, he was surrounded by his family. He was born August 7, 1936 to the late Kathryn and Urlin Harris Sr. Urlin was in the first graduating class of Olentangy High School in 1954. After graduation he received a B.A from Ohio Wesleyan University where he was a member of Beta Theta Pi Fraternity. He later earned a Law Degree from Capital University. Urlin over the course of his professional career worked for the Alcoa Corporation, Del Monte Corporation and eventually retired as the Chief Financial Officer of State Auto. After his retirement he along with his son Gil co-founded Aspen Ski and Board. Urlin is survived by his loving wife Kay, whom he met playing golf; son, Gil (Lori) Harris; grandchildren, Alexis and Jackson Harris; sister, Marilyn Taggart and her husband Hank Quintero; niece, Hilary(Dan) Taggart Giffin and their children Liam and Lindsey; niece, Cassie Taggart; and uncle, Bill Harris. Friends may call Monday 5:00pm - 8:00pm at the SCHOEDINGER WORTHINGTON CHAPEL 6699 N. High St. (1/2 mile south of 270) where services will be held 11:00am Tuesday with Pastor Rick Nuzum.
