Velma Jean Queen

Velma Jean Queen, age 83, died Friday, June 06, 2014 at her home. She was born December 6, 1930 to the late, Michael Raymond and Ila Gertrude (Groves) Dill in Mifflinville, Ohio. Velma graduated from Mifflin High School in 1949 and Bliss Business College in 1951. She was a board member from 2010-2014 for the Northland Senior Village IV. Velma was a devoted member for over 46 years of Christian Assembly Church. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Amy Jean Queen and brother, David Lee Dill. She is survived by loving husband of 62 years, Sidney Allen Queen; daughter, Elizabeth Ellen Queen; son, Stephen Evan Queen; grandchildren, Michael Evan and Joshua Joseph Allen Queen; brother, Jim Richard (Ruth) Dill; daughter-in-law, Valerie Jo Coppola; sister-in-law, Mary Louise Clay Dill; many cousins, nieces, nephew, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews; along with numerous friends. Family will receive friends from 5-8pm, Monday, June 9, 2014 at SCHOEDINGER NORTH CHAPEL, 5554 Karl Road. A funeral service will take place 11am, Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at Christian Assembly Church, 4099 Karl Road, where friends will be received one hour prior to the service. Pastor Torry Gligora; Elder Eric Vaas and Lay Minister Matt Link officiating. Interment to follow at Riverside Cemetery.
