Violet Mariah Baier, age 7 of Grove City, passed away Tuesday, December 7, 2010 surrounded by her loving family. Violet was born January 27, 2003. She is the beloved daughter of David and Robin Baier; little sister of Dalton and Colby Baier; loving granddaughter of Anita Scott and Gene and Netta Self; niece of Eric (Lisa) Scott and Marsha (Casey) Fowler; cousin of Emilee, Ryan, and Jacob; and dear friend to many. Violet was preceded in death by her brother, David Baier, Jr, and grandfather, Michael Scott. Violet was a very well liked second grader at J.C. Sommer Elementary School. She was truly a princess who enjoyed going shopping, listening to music and dancing, and also liked to read. She was a sensitive and affectionate young girl who also had a very feisty and ornery personality; one could always tell by the twinkle in her eye when she was up to something. Recently Violet became an assistant coach to the Woman’s Ohio Wesleyan Lacrosse Team. She cherished her friendships and time she was able to spend with her team, but above all, Violet enjoyed spending time with her loving family. Funeral service will be held at 10 A.M. Monday, December 13, 2010 at Grove City Church of the Nazarene, 4770 Hoover Rd., where family will receive friends from 3-8 P.M. Sunday. Chaplain and good friend of Violet’s, Matt Tweddle officiating. Interment Oak Grove Cemetery. Arrangements by SCHOEDINGER GROVE CITY CHAPEL, 614-875-6333. Contributions may be made to any PEDIATRIC cancer research fund in Violet’s memory. To share memories or condolences, please visit www.schoedinger.com.
