Violet “Jean” Kauffman

Violet "Jean" Kauffman, 98, passed away at home on Tuesday, January 24, 2023. She was born in Newark, Ohio, and was one of 9 children. Jean's life was devoted to raising her family of five children. She provided a wonderful home for her children and Stan, her husband of 59 years.

Throughout her life, she also enjoyed participating as a docent at The Columbus Museum of Art and The Hagley Museum in Wilmington, Delaware, playing bridge, entertaining, cooking, decorating cakes, and filling her greenhouse with exquisite plants.

She is survived by 4 children: Jeff (Laura) Kauffman, Atlanta, GA; Linda Kauffman, Charleston, SC; Corinne Garvey, Columbus, OH; and Tad (Rose) Kauffman, Port Richey, FL. She is survived by ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Lori Kauffman Faison, and her husband, Stanley C. Kauffman.

A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m., Sunday, January 29, at Schoedinger Dublin, 5980 Perimeter Drive, Dublin, Ohio 43017.
