

Virginia Galloway, age 81, passed away Tuesday, October 21, 2014 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born June 22, 1933 to the late Charles Williams and Ruby (Boggess) Huffman. Virginia was a very caring woman with an unwavering commitment to her family. Virginia’s winning smile was matched only by her heart for all those that she met. She was the glue that held her family together and always had a soft spot for the underdog. Throughout her life Virginia shared her talents with volunteer organizations such as TWIG, the Homeless Family Foundation and Action for Children. Virginia’s wit and intelligence will be missed by all that knew and loved her.
Virginia is survived by her husband of 61 years, Harvey Galloway; Sister Marilyn Skaates; Children; Dr. Jill (Dr. Joe) Salvo, Julie (Mark) Ricketts, Scott Galloway; Grandchildren; Ryan Ricketts, Kyle (Tricia) Ricketts, Colleen Ricketts, Joey Salvo and Great Granddaughter Emily Ricketts.
Family will receive visitors on Friday, October 31, 2014 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and 6:00pm to 8:00pm at the Schoedinger Worthington Chapel, 6699 N. High Street, Columbus, Ohio 43085. The funeral will be held at Northwest Church of the Nazarene, 5707 Olentangy River Road on Saturday, November 1, 2014 at 9:30 am. Graveside service to immediately follow the funeral at Union Cemetery, 3349 Olentangy River Rd. Columbus, Ohio 43202. Pastor Bob Morrison and Dr. Dale Galloway officiating.
