Vivian M. Garling

Vivian M. Garling, age 104, passed away on Wednesday, October 6, 2021, at Hospice of Central Ohio at The Ohio State University Medical Center. She was born on May 24, 1917. A retired, private duty registered nurse, she was a 1938 graduate of the White Cross School of Nursing in Columbus, a member of White Cross/ Riverside Nurses Association, a member of Maize Manor United Methodist Church , and a member of OES Worthington Chapter #287.

She was preceded in death by her parents Lura and Vernon Caldwell, husband Merlyn Garling, brother and sister-in-law Dana and Sara Caldwell. Survived by sons Bob (Rita) Garling of Lebanon OH and Bill (Judy) Garling of Westerville; grandchildren Paul (Heather) Garling of Delaware, Jennifer (Paul) Weise of Lewis Center, David (Caitlyn) Garling of Blacklick , Daniel Garling of West Chester OH, and Joshua (Stephanie) Garling of Columbus; and 4 great-grandchildren Aiden, Harrison, Katelyn, and Adam; niece Cheryl (Dennis) Nau, nephew Jon (Racheal) Caldwell, cousins and friends.

Friends may call on Tuesday, October 12th from 10-11am at SCHOEDINGER NORTH, 5554 Karl Rd, Columbus, OH 43229, where a funeral service will be held following visitation at 11am. Rev. Matt Keller will be officiating with internment to follow at Glen Rest Memorial Estates.
