He was born in Columbus, OH and attended East High thru the 11th grade. He joined the United States Army at the age of 18 and was honorably discharged after 2 years of service.
Wallace, or Hawk as he was fondly known, entered his first marriage with Mary Treadwell. They were married for 64yrs. To that union was born their only son, Terry Lee Hawkins.
Wallace was a well-known and successful real estate flipper and landlord. He was generous with his wisdom and knowledge. He had a caring heart and if you were privileged enough to hear him speak, you would learn a great deal about what it took to make it in life.
Hawk found love again when he married Pamela Hambric. Although no children were born of this union, he loved his stepson Brandon Hambric with all his heart. Pam was by his side, making him laugh and together, they enjoyed each other and life.
Hawk is preceded in death by his first his parents- Willie and Adleana Hawkins; his first wife: Mary Hawkins and his son: Terry Hawkins. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Pamela Hambric Hawkins; his grandson Daren Hawkins; his great- grandchildren: Tasia R. (Zechary JR) Harper, Daren (Dee) Hawkins JR and Aaron Hawkins; his great-great grandchildren: Trent and Taylor Harper- whom he greatly loved with all of his heart; stepson Brandon (Milia) Hambric, grandchildren Brandon JR and Chase Hambric; brother in law Maceo Biggers and a host of loved ones, in-laws and friends.
