

Preceded in death by parents, Walter P. Hamilton Jr. and Alverta Hamilton Carter; grandparents, Walter P. Sr. and Thelma Hamilton; Percy and Martha Turner; aunt, Evelyn Roundtree, nephew, Robert Crawford Jr., nephew Charles Scott Sr., and his Sweetie, Carolyn H. Davis.
Walter is survived by his sister Sherlyn (Fred) McCoy, niece Alverta Renee Scott, great-nephews Lawrence Blanton, David Blanton, and Charles Scott II, first cousin Devin Roundtree, all of Columbus, and a host of relatives and friends.
Walter, affectionately known as Bud, Buddy, and Uncle Bud, was born in Bluefield, WV., attended Bluefield Public Schools, received his Bachelor of Science in mathematics from Bluefield State College, now Bluefield State University, and was a member of the Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity. He received his MBA from Xavier University.
After serving in the United States Army, Walter moved to Columbus, Ohio where he was employed with Columbia Gas, North American Rockwell International, and Nationwide Insurance. Walter later moved to Dayton, Ohio, then to the Washington, DC area, where he worked for the US Government and as a private contractor.
During his lifetime, Walter enjoyed golf, bike rides, photography, traveling, and having a great time with family and friends.
Walter/Buddy/Bud/Uncle Bud will be deeply missed by many.
