

Wayne Henry Rhoades, age 84, passed away peacefully on March 2nd, 2017. He was born in Jackson Township to his loving parents, Marvin and Marvene Rhoades on August 24th, 1932. He graduated from Jackson Township High School, and married the love his life, Coralee (Huffer) Rhoades on June 23rd, 1951. They shared 65 wonderful years of marriage. Wayne was known as the man who could fix anything, and was especially talented when it came to fixing family cars as well as tractors. He worked for Hill Implement for 12 years, and then Dupont for 26 years. Wayne loved music, and had perfect pitch when singing his favorite gospel songs. More than anything in the world, Wayne loved his family. Wayne is preceded in death by his loving parents, as well as his brother, Marion “Babe” Rhoades. Left to mourn the loss of this wonderful man are his devoted wife Coralee Rhoades, as well as his children; Michael (Mary) Rhoades of Laurelville, Vicki (Tom) Mountain of McArthur, Wayne (Pam) Rhoades of Circleville and Katie (James) Richardson of Circleville. Also left to mourn are his granddaughters, Lauren Reeser, Jenna Reeser, and Sierra Richardson, as well as his sister Vera Steinhauser. He will also be missed by his beloved dog Minnie. Visitation will be held at Defenbaugh-Wise-Schoedinger Funeral Home, located at 151 East Main St, Circleville on Monday, March 6th from 5 to 8pm. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 7th at 11am with visitation one hour prior and Chaplain Jim Ferrell officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Partners for Paws, P.O. Box 282 Circleville, Ohio 43113, in Wayne’s honor.
