Wendee R. Wharton, age 49, of Columbus, passed away unexpectedly Monday, March 21, 2022 at her home. She was born June 19, 1972 in San Diego, California, the daughter of Gerald and Kathlyn (Kehlenbrink) Wharton. Wendee is survived by her beloved feline companion, Man-Man; her husband Matthew Cohen; father, Gerry (Janice) Wharton; sister, Sally; mother-in-laws, Norma Hawker Cohen and Kay Lorraine Bate and longtime dear friends Pam and Sanjay Chattergoon and Cat McComis. She was preceded in death by her mother, Kathlyn Jensen. Wendee was the type of person that made everyone feel better about themselves. She was fluent in German, loved all animals, especially cats and was an avid OSU Buckeye fan. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 4:00 pm Saturday, April 2, 2022 at SCHOEDINGER EAST, 5360 E. Livingston Avenue, Columbus, OH 43232, where family and friends may call from 2-4 pm Saturday. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to www.ocearch.org, in Wendee’s memory.
