

Wesley L. Resch, age 72, of Columbus OH, passed away November 5th, 2017. Born August 27th, 1945 in Wellston, OH to Sarah Hazel McMannis and George Elmer Resch. Wesley retired from the City of Conroe TX after a hard-working career. He was passionate about his family and friends. He loved sitting around telling stories about his stomping grounds, the Old Short North. Wesley loved supporting our servicemen and women, his pets, Elvis Presley, shooting pool, riding his Harley, camping with Patty, Native American heritage, and painting. He was an avid member and contributor to the American Legion, Legion Riders (Vice Commander), and Moose Lodge. He is survived by his treasured son, Wesley T. (Crystal) Chapman, his adored grand-children, Julia (Casey), Wesley Jacob (Brooke), Jacquelyn, Caleb, Chloe and Colton; two brothers, William R. (Nora) Resch and Donald E. (Tina) Resch. He is also survived by his close and loving companion, Patty Slagle. We are so happy that Patty came into our lives, she was a great source of his happiness. He was preceded in death by Betty Resch (wife), Sarah H. Fox (mother), George E. Resch (father), Ernest A. Gregory (brother), Blanche R. McMannis (sister), Cheryl E. Chapman (daughter), Brittanie M. Pederson (granddaughter) and Russell R. Higginbotham (lifelong best-friend). Friends and family are invited to celebrate Wesley's life at Hope and Heart Funeral Home by Schoedinger, located at 3030 W Broad St., on Wednesday, November 8th, 2017 from 4 to 6pm funeral service to follow at 6:00 pm with Mark Meyer officiating. Join the family for fellowship and remembrance after the service at American Legion Post #532.
