Willard James Gavin, 82, died Thursday, December 20, 2012. He was born January 12, 1930 in Morgan County, Ohio to the late John & Elsie (Thomas) Gavin. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army and 50 year member of the American Legion Post 24. Willard enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by 8 brothers and sisters; wife, of 47 years, Norma; and son, Bradley Gavin. Willard is survived by his son, Bill (Kimi) Gavin; grandsons, David and Michael Gavin; great-granddaughter, Elizabeth Gavin; brother, Jack (Marilyn) Gavin; sisters, Dorothy Houpt, Audrey (Calvin) Hall, Patricia Gavin and Ethel Gavin; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Visitation will be 10-11 AM Thursday, December 27, 2012 at the SCHOEDINGER GROVE CITY CHAPEL 3920 Broadway Grove City where the funeral service will follow at 11 AM.
