William D. Ball of Columbus, Ohio passed away peacefully on April 9, 2026, eight days after celebrating his 91st birthday. William (Bill), known by many of his family as Billy Don, was born in Sterns, KY on April 1, 1935 to the late Elsie Lay Gregory and Claude Ball.
Bill is preceded in death by brother Harold Ball, sister-in-law Adena Ball, brother-in-law John Peters, and son-in-law Sean Harrington. Bill is survived by his daughter Belinda Harrington, grandchildren Sarah (Bradley) Hopkins, Daniel (Katie) Harrington and great grandchildren Quinn and Riley Harrington, his son Rick Ball, sister Joyce Peters and nieces and nephews.
Bill loved country music. He enjoyed playing the guitar and singing songs from his favorite country artists, especially Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings and Merle Haggard.
The family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to Tom and Cathy Misiuk for their care and compassion.
Funeral service for Bill will be Monday, April 20th from 11:00-12:00 PM at Advantage by Schoedinger North, 5554 Karl Rd., Columbus, Ohio.
