William S. Garnett, age 73 of Columbus, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Friday, September 28, 2012. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Jo Ann; children, Stacey (Doris) Garnett and Cathy (Mike) Shaver; 9 grandchildren; sister, Eleanor Shreve; brother-in-law, James (Janet) Workman; sister-in-law, Alice Atkins; and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. He retired as a benefits manager from Columbia Gas after 23 years of service and was passionate about his art and family, especially his grandchildren. A gathering of friends will be held from 5-8 P.M. Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 1740 Zollinger Rd., where a memorial service will be held at 11 A.M.
