William L. Grunkemeyer

William L. Grunkemeyer, age 88, of Gahanna went to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 28, 2009. He was a WWII Army Veteran and had retired from the Columbus Fire Department. Preceded in death by his beloved wife of 62 years, Eunice A. Grunkemeyer (Keller); parents, William and Ftazie Grunkemeyer; brother, Harold; and grandson, Chester Lowe. Bill is survived by his children, William (Myra and son, Nathaniel) Grunkemeyer, June (George) Lowe, Kent Grunkemeyer, Tom (Nancy) Grunkemeyer, Timmy (Brenda) Grunkemeyer, and Mark (Kim) Grunkemeyer; grandchildren, Elise, Heather, Jennifer, Tara, Holly, Joey, Haley, Morgan, Boston, and Parker; great-grandchildren, Garrett, Griffin, Gabriel, Ethan, Bradyn, Caleb and Emily; brother, Lawrence (Doris) Grunkemeyer; sister-in-law, Betty Smith; numerous nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 1, 2009 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST CHAPEL, 1051 East Johnstown Road, Gahanna, Ohio, where funeral services will take place at 12 noon on December 2, 2009; interment Mifflin Twp.
