
William Caddock "Bill" Hadley, 85, of St. Petersburg, passed away on Saturday, March 23, 2024. He was born in Columbus, OH. He received his bachelor's degree from Dartmouth and his master's degree from Amos Tuck School of Business. Bill served in the US Navy as well as the US Marine Corps achieving the rank of Captain. He was an avid tennis player, certified cave diver, advanced open water scuba instructor as well as a licensed Merchant Marine Coast Guard Captain. Bill was a general agent with Mass Mutual Insurance Company and a member of the Million Dollar Round Table. He was past president of Columbus Jaycees, past director of the Columbus Chamber of Commerce, past trustee of the United Community Council and past director of the Upper Arlington Civic Association. He was preceded in death by his father, Benjamin F. Hadley Sr., mother, Katherine Gilmore Hadley and brothers, Benjamin and Robert Hadley. Bill is survived by his wife, Paulette Hadley; son, William Benjamin Hadley; daughter, Marianne Hadley Berman; grandchildren, Samantha and Zoe Berman and Dawson Cook; and stepsons, Bryan and John Cook. A graveside ceremony will be held at 2 pm at Greenlawn Cemetery on April 17, 2024 with reception to follow at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST, 1740 Zollinger Road, Columbus, OH from 3-5 pm.
