He was born on March 23, 1934 in Thornville to the late Ivan and Idella (Long) Hamm. William is a life long member of Grace Lutheran Church.
He is survived by his sons Wade (Deborah) Hamm, James (Sue) Hamm, and Gary (Christi) Hamm. His sister Doris Saum and brother Lester Hamm, 9 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren also survive William.
In addition to his parents his first wife Shirley Kay and his second wife Jean Hamm precede him in death.
Friends and family may call on Tuesday, July 26, 2011 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Boring-Sheridan Schoedinger Funeral Home, 56 South Main Street, Thornville.
Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 27, 2011 at 2:30 pm at Grace Lutheran Church 65 East Columbus Street, Thornville. Pastor Jeff Morlock will be officiating and the burial will follow at Lutheran Reformed Cemetery
In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to Grace Lutheran Church.
