

William C. Jewell, age 82, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at Convalarium of Dublin surrounded by family. He was born on May 18, 1936 in Salem, Ohio to G. Kenneth and Gladys (Westfall) Jewell. William proudly served his country in the US Army from 1956 - 1959. Mr. Jewell worked in public service for over 48 years for ODOT and Franklin County Auditor's Office. He was a longtime owner/operator of Moore's Dairy Bar with his beloved wife Addie. Mr. Jewell was past President of Lincoln Village Lions Club and former member of the Odd Fellows. William was a faithful and avid donor of blood to the Red Cross where he received the Gallon + award for the 30 gallons of blood he generously donated over the years. Preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Addie Mae Jewell; his parents; and sister, Mary Kay Wilhelmy. Survived by his five children, Claudia J. (James) Bowman, of Dallas, TX; Henry D. (Lana Marlene) Jewell, Columbus; Madoria F. (David) Remley, Circleville; James W. (Karen) Jewell, Dublin and Kenneth E. (Kelly) Jewell, Grove City. He also is survived by ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Albert Wilhelmy III; nephew and two nieces; many sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; along with many nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends from 4-7 pm on Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at HEART AND HOPE FUNERAL HOME by SCHOEDINGER, 3030 W. Broad St., Columbus, Ohio 43204 with a private inurnment at Alton Cemetery at a later date. Memorial contributions can be made to American Red Cross in his memory.
