William C. Kimmel II, age 68, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, November 21, 2019 at OSU Medical Center. William was born on October 28, 1951 in Columbus, Ohio to William C. and Kathryn (Peyton) Kimmel. William served his country proudly in the US Army during Vietnam as a Door Gunner. After returning to Columbus he worked for the Ohio Department of Health for 34 years and Columbus Auto Parts. He also became an Ordained Priest, volunteered as Sheriff and Medic in Marengo Township. He was a member of AmVets Post where he served in the Honor Guard and put flags out at Green Lawn Cemetery for veterans. He was a 32nd degree Mason and Scottish Rite Valley of Columbus. He was part of the Historical Society and OGCLA. William spoke fluent German and Indian. He enjoyed making jewelry and collecting guns. Preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Nancy Fulecki. Survived by his wife, Janelle; son, Jeremiah Levi Kimmel; brother-in-law, Gil Fulecki; many other relatives and friends.
