William Rowe Leis

Bill was born to Roy DeWitt Leis and Jessie Rowe Leis on Oct. 9, 1933 in Columbus Ohio. He graduated from North High School in 1951. He received a Bachelors of Science in Business from Miami University, Oxford, Ohio. He retired from Columbus Southern Power (AEP) after 37 years. He was married and has two children. He is survived by his children Linda Leis and Blake (Leslie) Leis; grandchildren Eric Hutmire, Marissa Hutmire, and Cole Leis; and his brother Robert "Bob" Leis.

Bill has always been a Methodist church member. Most recently at New Albany United Methodist Church where he enjoyed his church family and friends and helped as an usher regularly during services, and earlier, during his school years, and while raising his family, attending North Broadway United Methodist Church. He was a member of North High Alumnae Association, Old North Hi Club Inc., and Miami University Alumnae Association, Red Brick Society. Bill was a Mason (York Lodge #0563 Worthington OH), Shriners International, Aladdin Senior Shriners and Scottish Rite Masons Valley of Columbus OH. He was a member of NRA, and American Legion Gahanna OH. During his life Bill enjoyed golfing, playing cards, watching college football, and being with his family.

Bill chose to be cremated with no service.

Bill was grateful for his church friends, AEP friends, and close neighbors , and for everyone's friendship and kindness.
