William "Bill" D. Nicklaus, age 64, passed away unexpectedly Monday, December 5, 2016 at St. Ann's Hospital. He was born in Columbus, OH to the late F.W. Nick and Lucille (Phelps) Nicklaus. Bill owned and operated Wm Nicklaus Company. He is survived by his fiancé, Lynn Burgess; brother, Roger (Carmen) Nicklaus; sister, Rita Nicklaus Dudley; aunt, Arlene Phelps; nephews, Mike (Jennifer) Nicklaus, Travis Dudley, Jeremy (Rachel) Nicklaus, and Josh (Sherri) Dudley; great nieces and nephews, Taylor Dudley, Charlie Nicklaus, Brooke Dudley, Max Nicklaus, Jamie Dudley, Sophie Nicklaus, Elly Nicklaus, Catherine Nicklaus, Georgia Nicklaus, Selina Nicklaus, Asher Dudley, and Lydia Dudley; many cousins, extended family and his beloved dog, Jack. Family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 pm Thursday at Schoedinger North Chapel, 5554 Karl Rd., where the funeral service will be held 1 pm Friday, December 9, 2016. Interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
