Following his military service, Bill embarked on a long and successful career with EBCO (Oasis) in Columbus, Ohio. Over the course of 46 years, he worked as an engineer and Test Lab Manager, contributing significantly to the company's success through his expertise and dedication.
Bill was married for an extraordinary 74 years to his loving wife, Juanita. Their enduring partnership was a testament to their deep bond and shared journey through life's joys and challenges. Together they built a family that brought him immense pride and happiness.
He is survived by his three sons: Clayton Shipe, Steven Shipe, and Douglas Shipe; six grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. His family was central to his life, and he treasured the time spent with them across generations.
In retirement, Bill embraced his love for travel and spent many happy years living in Florida. He found joy in exploring new places and creating lasting memories. A lifelong enthusiast of horse racing, he enjoyed visiting Scioto Downs to watch the races and trying his luck at casino slot machines were pastimes that brought him much delight.
