Zenna Blackburn

Zenna Blackburn, age 83, passed away on Friday, April 8, 2011 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky. She was born in Pike County, Kentucky on April 9, 1927, the daughter of the late Willie and Nancy Allen. She was a retiree of Big Bear Grocery Store, avid bowler and square dancer in earlier years. She was a beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She lived the last 4 years of her life in Wilmore, Ky. Zenna was preceded in death by her husband, Guilford Blackburn; brothers, Roy and Raymond Morris and beloved grandson, Matthew Blackburn. Survived by her children Sandra McCorkle of Wilmore, Ky., Deanna Glover and Steve (Kim) Blackburn of Columbus, Oh., and Gary (Karen) Blackburn of Ft. Pierce, Fl.; beloved sister Lawuna Gannon of Columbus, Oh.; brothers, Joe (Barbara) Allen of Dublin, Oh., Eugene (Doris) Allen of Phyllis, Ky.; 14 grandchildren, Scott, Brian, and David Anderson, Jeff, Christina, and Mike Glover, Gary and Shawn Blackburn, Layla, Steve, Jason, Alexandra and Nicole Blackburn; 11 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends may call from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm, Tuesday, April 12, 2011at the SCHOEDINGER NORTH CHAPEL 5554 Karl RD. where the funeral service will be held at 11:30 am, Wednesday, April 13, 2011.
