Anna was truly a remarkable person. We are so very fortunate to have shared her and will continue to hold her in our hearts.
Her strength shines through in all that knew her, she just had that quality of making you a better person.
The happy memories had with Anna and your family are a treasure.

She helped me out sometimes and I would help her if she needed a babysitter for her oldest son. I was over there in 1996, it has been a long time but I never forgot the houlihan family.

I am extremely fortunate to have crossed paths with the Houlihan family through Johnny. I had first met him at NJIT in 2019, and we became friends very quickly.

After meeting Mrs. Houlihan for the first time, it was clear to me that she was an extremely kind, smart, generous and hardworking woman. She had invited some of us NJIT folks over for dinner and we spent most of the evening engaged in conversation. It was obvious how impactful Mrs. Houlihan was and it was reflected in the ways that Johnny helped and cared for everybody around him.

I also was very lucky to spend time with the Houlihan family in Virginia Beach for 4th of July 2021 and it was one of the most memorable times in my life. Mrs. Houlihan made me feel like I was a part of her beautiful family and I will always be grateful for that. 

I can confidently say that she touched the lives of many of Johnny’s friends and fraternity brothers through her kindness. May her memory be a source of strength and comfort.

Deep and heartfelt condolences to the Houlihan family on the death of their great matriarch, Anna.

I hired the 7-month pregnant Anna Houlihan 32 years ago and we worked together continuously until she retired.  Anna worked on clinical trials for the development of medicines and therapies for breast cancer, leukemia, esophageal cancer, lung cancer, bladder cancer, skin cancer and brain cancer.  She was an amazing, tireless and selfless dedicated woman whose work made possible the FDA approval of a new form of cancer therapy, photodynamic therapy.  
She was working on the development of a new noninvasive form of cancer therapy, sonodynamic therapy, when cancer took her from us.  We will now dedicate this work to her memory.

My deepest condolences to the entire family.  I graduated from Clarkstown North with Anna. She was such a kind person.  May she rest in peace.
