

Nancy Theresa Moro (nee Hoff) passed away on April 26, 2026 with family by her side.
Born in New York City on February 23, 1956, to John and Isabella Hoff, she shared a memorable childhood with her siblings Johnny, Linda, Stephen and Timothy. Nancy was a proud product of the Bronx,carrying that New York grit and spirit throughout her 70 years of life. To anyone who knew her, Nancy was always someone you could count on, an unyielding force who would do anything for her inner circle. Her empathy & passion for her loved ones was unique & something she will always be remembered for.
In 1978, Nancy married the love of her life, Peter Moro. Their partnership was one of deep devotion, and they shared nearly five decades of life’s joys and challenges. A graduate of Mt. Saint Ursula High School in the Bronx, she later attended secretarial school before entering the professional world of Manhattan. Nancy spent many years as a highly reputed secretary at Milbank LLP (previously Milbank, Tweed, Hadley, & McCloy), where she was known for her sharp mind and tireless work ethic. Lawyers at the firm continuously sang her praises, relying on her competence and no-nonsense approach. After retiring from the city, she brought her talents closer to home, serving as a Library Assistant at Lakewood School in Congers, NY.
Beyond her professional achievements, Nancy’s devotion was to her family. She was the proud mother of Christopher, Aileen, and Kevin, and found immense joy in her four grandchildren, Alyson, Rose, Nolan, and Delaney, who were the lights of her life. And never far from her side were her beloved dogs, Trooper, Tim, Kobi, and Max.
While Nancy will be profoundly missed, her family takes great solace knowing that she is reunited with her husband, Peter, who passed away just one month ago. Their reunion brings comfort to those who witnessed their lifelong bond.
Nancy is survived by her children: Christopher (and his wife Jessica), Aileen (and her husband Brian), and Kevin (and his wife Marie); her grandchildren: Alyson, Rose, Nolan, and Delaney; and her brothers, Stephen and Timothy (and his son Kieran), as well as many other nieces, nephews and in laws. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Peter, and her siblings, Johnny and Linda.
Visitation will be held at Michael J. Higgins Funeral Service Inc., 113 Lake Road East, Congers, NY 10920, US, on April 30, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at St Paul's Catholic Church, 82 Lake Rd, Congers, NY 10920, US, on May 1, 2026, at 11:00 am.
