

Paul J. Rodi, beloved husband to Virginia (Roschke) Rodi, passed away on November 13, 2013. Paul was born on 1-2-30 to Modesto & Victoria (Paradiso) Rodi in the house his grandfather built in the Bronx, N.Y. He attended schools in the Bronx and then went on to NYU and received an Engineering Degree. He was the Borough Engineer for the Bronx and Manhattan in New York City. He retired after 30 years to form his own Engineering Company and Visual Building Inspections. Paul & Virginia worked together in these companies for the next 25 years. He was also a founding member of ASHI, American Society of Home Inspectors. Paul is survived by his wife, Virginia; and their 4 sons, Paul Jr. (Carol), Robert (Esme), Bart (Teresa), and Mark (Nancy). He always said he raised 4 sons but was blessed with 4 daughters-in-law. Paul was an only child but was also blessed with 11 grandchildren: Robert Jr., David, Amanda, Christina, Paul, Alex, Mark Jr., Bob, Chris, Jessica, and Carleigh; and great granddaughter Zoe.
He also leaves his cousins: Annette (DeMenna) (Tom) Rubertone, Vincent (Maryann) DeMenna and his sister-in-law, Susan (Roschke) (Bob) Seyffarth. His 4 sons followed in his footsteps by pursuing careers in engineering. Paul will be missed by all who knew him. Family will receive friends on Sunday and Monday from 2-4 & 7-9pm at Higgins Funeral Home in Congers, NY. Mass will be held on Tuesday, 10am, at St. Paul’s Church in Congers followed by a private cremation.
