Rita Mayer, 94, of Congers, New York passed away peacefully Sunday, November 17, 2013. Rita was born September 25, 1919 in New York. She was predeceased by her loving husband John (12/1990) and her daughter-in-law Norma Jean (2/2012). Rita is survived by her beloved children Hermann and John and her loving grandchildren Christine and Todd. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, November 19, 2013 from 4-8pm at Higgins Funeral Home in Congers, NY, followed by a service at 7:30pm. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Rita's name to Alzheimer\'s Association or Hospice of Rockland.
