 Obituario de Deloris M. Gray
Deloris M. Gray, 85 of rural Fayette County, passed away peacefully at her residence, late Tuesday afternoon, July 2, 2019. Deloris was born June 29, 1934 in Clark County the seventh of thirteen children of Jesse and Roxanne Haycraft Franklin. She was a graduate of New Washington High School. On March 1, 1956, she was married at the First Christian Church in Jeffersonville to Norman W. Gray. Deloris was a devoted member of First Baptist Church as a long-term Sunday School and Vacation Bible School teacher as well as supporting the Deacon’s Fund. She had been employed for many years as a tutor for the Fayette County School Corporation and most enjoyed her family and being a servant to others. Deloris created an immense amount of beauty with her talent of growing flowers and gardening. Deloris is survived by her children: Mary D. Gray of Indianapolis, Norman J. Gray of Westfield, Kenneth E. Gray and his wife, Tricia of Connersville; Sherry E. Gray of Broad Ripple; two grandsons and their wives: Carson Gray and Stephanie, Brandon Gray and Popie; her sisters: Marie Dimmitt of Clarksville, Edwina Lawson of Anderson; her brother: Daniel Franklin of Scottsburg; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Deloris was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years who died September 28, 2009; nine brothers and sisters. Friends may visit at Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home, Myers Chapel, Connersville , from 11 to 1 p.m. Friday, July 5, 2019 where memorial contributions may be made to the Deacon’s Fund.
