Connersville native, Dennis “DB” Brewer, 63, died Sunday, October 18, 2020 at Reid Health of Richmond.
Dennis was born on May 5, 1957 to Bill and Marilyn Walling Brewer. He graduated from Fayette County Schools with the class of 1975. Dennis was employed with the Fayette County Highway Department for many years until his retirement. He formerly attended Park Place Church of God. Dennis had a passion for history, and loved reading any history related literature. He was an avid sports fan, faithfully cheering for Purdue, the Browns, and the Reds. Dennis enjoyed music of all types, especially Frank Zappa. He will be remembered as a kind soul, and will be greatly missed by those who love him.
Dennis is survived by his companion: Jo Ella Bunzendahl; sons: Ethan N. Brewer and his companion Billie Koger of Rushville, Freddie Bunzendahl of Indianapolis; daughters: Melissa Putts and her husband Larry of Carmel, Casey Lowery of Liberty; sisters: Debbie Coffman and her husband Lowell of Brownsville, Vicki Rose-Harrison of Connersville; brothers: Steve Brewer of Connersville, Gregg Brewer and his wife Teresa of Centerville; Seven grandchildren; Several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Dennis is preceded in death by his wife Melody; step-father: Earles Rose; step-mother: Jean Brewer; brother: Earl Rose.
A celebration of life will be conducted at 2p.m. Friday, October 23, 2020 at Showalter Blackwell Long, Myers Chapel, Connersville. Friends may visit the funeral home from 1p.m. until time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to Park Place Church of God or The Shelter, Inc in Dennis’ honor.
