

Marvin William Hay, age 88, of Conyers, passed away on Monday, August 13, 2012. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, August 15, 2012, at Westview Cemetery, in Atlanta, at 2:00 p.m., with Rev. Calvin Yarbrough officiating.
Mr. Hay was born December 25, 1923, in Monroe, LA to Barto Byra Hay and Eva Mae Mooney. He grew up in East Atlanta/Kirkwood area and was a member of Kirkwood Presbyterian Church. A graduate of Tech High, class of 1942, he served in WWII in the Panama Canal Zone. He worked for Maxwell & Hitchcock, Peavy Construction, Humphries Concrete and Jordan Iron Works. After living in Stone Mountain for 32 years, with his loving wife, Gwen, they moved to Conyers in 1992 to be near their grandchildren.
He was loved and will be greatly missed by his daughter, Julie (John) Ubriaco; son, Jeff (Heather) Hay; grandsons, John David Ubriaco, Jr., Matthew Ubriaco and Christopher Ubriaco; great-granddaughter, Ansleigh Ubriaco.
He was preceded by his loving wife, Mary Gwendolyn Hay, parents, Barto & Eva Mae Hay and brother, Lt. Barto Byra Hay, Jr.
