John was born on December 18, 1954 in Chicago, IL, the son of Vincent and Antonietta ( nee Dal Pozzo). Brother to Mark and Gerald.
John married his high school sweetheart Marcia ( Lawton) on January 31, 1976. They had recently celebrated their 50th wedding Anniversary. John is survived by his wife Marcia, daughter Cheryl (Keith) Austin, son Jeremy (Jennifer), granddaughter Gianna Sophia. Brother Gerald (Lois) and many nieces, nephews and adopted kids.
Proceeded in death by his parents Vincent and Antoinetta, step-father George Scherer, brother Mark.
John retired from Roger's Cartage in 2000. John was a member of the Teamsters.
John loved working on his hot rods, an avid ham radio operator. He enjoyed the outdoors from camping to fishing, playing in the desert, traveling into the mountains, enjoyed life and always cracking jokes. John was a good friend to many.
Private Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 12th for immediate family. A celebration of life will be announced at a later time for both Arizona and Indiana.
