Laverne was a talented jewelry maker who took pride in her craft. She loved shopping and traveling, and when her health permitted, she enjoyed cooking for her family. Above all else, Laverne cherished her family and treasured the time spent with them, especially her great grandchildren. She was known for her generous heart and always made sure her loved ones had what they needed, particularly during the Christmas season.
She is survived by her daughters, Lori Riddle and Valentine Leyva; her son, Robert Thomas; her sisters, Carol M. Thomas and Jennifer C. Miles; one granddaughter; and two great-grandchildren.
Laverne was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Agnes Thomas, and her siblings, Everett, Ronald, Marvin Richard, Glenn, Mae Fern, and Leonard Thomas.
She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
