Roy loved his children and family deeply and wholeheartedly. Known by his family as a “quiet storm,” Roy was calm, gentle, and avoided drama, choosing peace instead. He was lovable, easy to get along with, and had a great sense of humor. Roy enjoyed playfully annoying those he loved, always with affection and warmth behind it.
He took pride in his appearance, was always well kept, and was a devoted mama’s boy, being an only child. Roy’s presence brought comfort, laughter, and steadiness to those around him, and he will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Roy is survived by his children, Lanyia, Lorena, Royalty, and Roymon; his mother and stepfather, Laureen and Bernard; his wife, Chanae; and a host of loving aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his father, Roy Lee Vaughn.
